Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 guarantees the absence of substances which could harm the health of adults, children and babies. Oeko-Tex is the independent control and certification system which certifies the safety of textile products for human use.
Amni® Soul Eco
This divinely soft fabric not only feels luxurious against your skin, is it made from a biodegradable nylon fibre! Cool huh. This means garment made from this fabric are able to quickly decompose when they are discarded and left in landfills. So, not to worry, these garments are not going to start disintegrating while you are wearing them or washing them! The decomposition only starts when the garment is discarded and reaches the landfill having contact with microorganisms existing in this anaerobic environment, which activate the yarn's biodegradation.
Using this fabric means that 50% of breakdown already happens in the first year and in less than five years, it is fully decomposed. It may still sound long, but not when you compare that to more than 50 years for general synthetics. I am very proud to say that we can use this fabric. It is my hope that one day all of the products we produce will be environmentally friendly.
